Well Kraft's exclusive tri-sensor VQI system
Perfect mechanical design is essential for good wheel balancing. The Well Kraft balancing machines are based on the VQI system. VQI ("Vincoli Quasi Ideali" - almost perfect mechanical links) is a unique three-sensor system, exclusive design Well Kraft and IFS (shaft with integral flange) for maximum centering accuracy.
The VQI system, developed in collaboration with the University of Florence (University of Florence), is designed to measure vibrations, so mechanical links do not affect the measuring system.
What does this mean? This means that the VQI system is internally stable: like a table with three legs that stays upright, while a table with two legs can fall. The system completely "relies" on three sensors, and this is enough to make it stable.
In the Well Kraft VQI system, the centrifugal force created by the imbalance is completely "discharged" through the sensors and there is no external mechanical limitation. In this way, the centrifugal force, i.e. the imbalance, is fully known during computer processing, which means that in any condition and with any type of wheel, small or large, the results will always be perfect.
