Wheel Clamps
These are self-centering wheel clamps with a quick-release device for mounting targets to wheel rims. The wheel clamp features a universal design to accommodate light commercial vehicle wheel rims with diameters ranging from 12 to 24 inches. Inner holes are designed for rims from 12" to 20", and outer holes are for 20" to 24" rims. Adapters are included with the wheel clamps to use them in conjunction with locking pins for mounting on bus wheels (front axle), non-driven auxiliary axles, and trailing rear axles.
Turntables (7 t.)
The turntable consists of a free-rotating plate with a load capacity of 7 tons each, which is suitable for working with heavy trucks. The front wheels of the vehicle being adjusted must rest on these plates. The rotating plate helps avoid wheel friction and relaxes the suspension joint to its original state. Locking pins are provided to stop movement when parking the vehicle on the wheel. The locking pins must be removed during measurements. The turntables provide left and right rotation required for Caster and Kingpin angle measurements.
Targets
The target features a patterned IR-reflective surface to reflect the incident rays from the camera.
Dimensions of the Inspection Pit for Wheel Alignment
The inspection pit layout shown here is intended for performing wheel alignment on unladen vehicles. If wheel alignment is to be performed on a laden vehicle, consult a construction agency for advice. The floor must be made of high-quality concrete.
